We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Research on hot news topic discovery and communication mechanism by fusion clustering algorithm
The rapid growth of online news websites complicates the identification of trending topics characterized by volume, diversity, and velocity. Traditional classification methods struggle with this complexity, necessitating the use of advanced techniques to

Practices of Co-censorship: The Bilateral Control of Italian-Yugoslavian Co-productions
This paper investigates the connections between the film censorship systems of Italy and Yugoslavia, two countries that in the post-war years had different political and economic structures, but were involved in frequent collaborations that were ...

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

The production of a 16-mm film of M31 [PDF]
The new high resolution HI survey of M31 (Brinks, this volume) was effected at a resolution of Δα × Δδ × ΔV = 24″ × 36″ × 8.2 km s−1. These measures comprise a data cube consisting of 147 channel maps, separated in velocity by 4.1 km s−1. Each of the maps is 1024 × 1024 pixels in size.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Costs in a Film’s Production Process
Purpose: Film production is associated with incurring costs. This article aims to analyze the production process of a feature film through the prism of incurred production costs. The indirect aim is to answer the question: What is the structure of the set of costs in the produc-tion process of an audiovisual work? Design/Methodology/Approach: The study
