Cobalt Oxide Diffusion Kinetics in Ultra-Thin Amorphous Carbon Films
The diffusion of oxidized cobalt metal (CoOx) through a sputtered amorphous carbon film is investigated as a function of carbon film thickness and of temperature in dry air. A kinetic model is developed using the experimental data.

Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...

Selective Growth of Homo-Epitaxial Ag-Nano-Layer on Tribo-Assisted-Reorientation
The growth process and orientational degree of incremental-Ag films with a thickness of 5, 50 and 500 nm, respectively, on reoriented Ag (111) surface were studied by in-situ reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED).
