Convergence Results for the Gaussian Mixture Implementation of the Extended-Target PHD Filter and Its Extended Kalman Filtering Approximation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
The convergence of the Gaussian mixture extended-target probability hypothesis density (GM-EPHD) filter and its extended Kalman (EK) filtering approximation in mildly nonlinear condition, namely, the EK-GM-EPHD filter, is studied here.

A Unified Filter for Simultaneous Input and State Estimation of Linear Discrete-time Stochastic Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we present a unified optimal and exponentially stable filter for linear discrete-time stochastic systems that simultaneously estimates the states and unknown inputs in an unbiased minimum-variance sense, without making any assumptions on ...

Fuzzy soft filter convergence

open access: yesFilomat, 2018
In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy soft filters and study some of their properties. Also, we study the notion of convergence of fuzzy soft filters in fuzzy soft topological spaces. We prove the existence of product fuzzy soft filters.

Separation of multiple signals in hearing aids by output decorrelation and time-delay estimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Sensori-neural hearing impaired listeners have difficulty in separating multiple signals or perceiving speech in background noise and hearing aids are widely used to enhance the desired signal.

Filter Functions with Exponential Convergence Order [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, 1994
AbstractOversampled functions can be evaluated using generalized sinc‐series and filter functions connected with these series. A standard filter function is given by exp ((ζ2 − 1)−1). We show that the Fourier transform of this filter posseses the convergence order 0(exp (−√x)), improving an estimation given in [10].

Removing Mixture of Gaussian and Impulse Noise by Patch-Based Weighted Means [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceWe first establish a law of large numbers and a convergence theorem in distribution to show the rate of convergence of the non-local means filter for removing Gaussian noise.

Grid-Tied Distribution Static Synchronous Compensator for Power Quality Enhancement Using Combined-Step-Size Real-Coefficient Improved Proportionate Affine Projection Sign Algorithm

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
A control structure design of a three-phase three-leg four-wire grid-tied Distribution Static Synchronous Compensator (DSTATCOM) based on a combined-step-size real-coefficient improved proportionate affine projection sign algorithm (CSS-RIP-APSA) has ...

Filter convergence and decompositions for vector lattice-valued measures

open access: yes, 2014
Filter convergence of vector lattice-valued measures is considered, in order to deduce theorems of convergence for their decompositions. First the $\sigma$-additive case is studied, without particular assumptions on the filter; later the finitely ...

A Variable Step-size CLMS Algorithm and Its Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2020
In this paper, a hyperbolic tangent variable step-size convex combination of the least mean square (HTVSCLMS) algorithm is proposed and analyzed. This work avoids the compromise between the convergence speed and the steady-state error for two filters in ...

Adapting the Number of Particles in Sequential Monte Carlo Methods through an Online Scheme for Convergence Assessment

open access: yes, 2017
Particle filters are broadly used to approximate posterior distributions of hidden states in state-space models by means of sets of weighted particles. While the convergence of the filter is guaranteed when the number of particles tends to infinity, the ...
