Detecting Network Intrusions Using Signal Processing with Query-Based Sampling Filter
This paper presents a novel approach for training a network intrusion detection system based on a query-based sampling (QBS) filter. The proposed QBS filter applies the concepts of data quantization to signal processing in order to develop a novel ...

ALGORITHMS OF ECG FILTERING WITH DYNAMICALLY VARIABLE WINDOW SIZE
Approximating and nonlinear locally adaptive filters with dynamically variable size of scanning window that have simple implementation for processing ECGs registered with sampling frequency 400 Hz are considered.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Singing voice separation based on deep learning relies on the usage of time-frequency masking. In many cases the masking process is not a learnable function or is not encapsulated into the deep learning optimization.

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Preconditioning Filter Bank Decomposition Using Structured Normalized Tight Frames
We turn a given filter bank into a filtering scheme that provides perfect reconstruction, synthesis is the adjoint of the analysis part (so-called unitary filter banks), all filters have equal norm, and the essential features of the original filter bank ...

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Efficient method to detect and correct errors caused by radiation on digital filters [PDF]
University Carlos III of Madrid in collaboration with University Antonio de Nebrija has developed a technique to protect digital filter implementations, frequently used in communications and signal processing against the errors caused by radiation.
