Integration of filters and microstrip antennas
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37313), 2003A new implementation of the integrated antenna-filter module has been proposed that is based on the single material technology and uses the same substrate for both the antenna and filter layers. An X band device has been designed on the low permittivity substrate and examined for X band operation. This example proves the feasibility of achieving a well-

Performance analysis of filtering antennas
2017 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Signal Processing and Networking (WiSPNET), 2017Multifunction module performing both filtering and radiating functions called filtering antenna or filtenna becomes inevitable in modern wireless communication system. This paper discusses the implementation of various filtering antennas and analyzes the performance of these antennas in terms of parameters such as gain, selectivity, bandwidth, harmonic

A self-oscillating active filtering antenna
2014 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation Conference Proceedings, 2014A self-oscillating active filtering antenna is presented in this work. In the positive feedback path of an oscillator, a two-way filtering power divider is incorporated. One of the output port of the power divider is electromagnetically coupled to an antenna, and the other output port is used for feedback.

A Filtering Antenna Based on Stripline Low Pass Filter
2018 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2018A filtering antenna based on strip line low pass filter with wide stop band and sharp roll-off is presented in this paper. The low pass filter has a good performance on a wide stopband lower than −25dB from 2.85GHz to 10.9GHz and a sharp roll-off from 2.6GHz (-3dB) to 2.9GHz (-39dB). The insertion loss is less than-ldB at pass band.

Multilayer Antenna-Filter Antenna for Beam-Steering Transmit-Array Applications
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2012This paper presents a study on reconfigurable transmit-array (TA) antennas based on multilayer tunable elements. The proposed configuration can be referred to as a multilayer antenna-filter antenna (MAFA) and it can be viewed as an extension of the antenna-filter antenna concept.

UWB filter-antenna using Spiral Resonator
2010 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2010This paper presents simple and low cost implementations of very wideband antennas using Spiral Resonator (SR) to perform band-rejection filtering within the band. Details on SR design are first given and filter design is then applied on a UWB antenna to filter the WLAN band.

Self-filtering low-noise horn antenna
Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, 2012In this contribution, we propose an innovative horn antenna design capable to filter undesired noise out. The radiator is based on a regular WR-62 horn, having a metallic screen inserted between the feeding waveguide and the flared aperture. We have drilled a vertical rectangular slit on the screen (the long side of the slit is in the E-plane) and ...

Antenna-Filter-Antenna Based Transmitarray with Beam-steering Capability
2019 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Antennas, Communications and Electronic Systems (COMCAS), 2019An original approach of an antenna-filter-antenna based transmitarray which consists of the unit cells with 1-bit phase quantization is considered. Each unit cell represents a passive receiver-transmitter structure with integrated phase-shifter, which can take either of two coding states corresponding 180° phase difference between the states.

Association of a UWB filter with a UWB antenna : Control of antenna characteristics
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007UWB systems become more and more attractive because they allow to use wider band and so to increase systems performances concerning data rates, in particular for short range applications. Their conception is constrained by desired characteristics and also by size and cost of devices.

Filter-Antenna Consisting of Conical FSS Radome and Monopole Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2012A filter-antenna consisting of a monopole antenna and a conical frequency selective surface (FSS) radome was designed and investigated. A coupled-resonator spatial filter (CRSF) was used to design an FSS array with stable performances, and then a specific geometrical layout was proposed to construct a conical FSS radome. We technically investigated the
