The Relationship Between Fine-Motor Play and Fine-Motor Skill
NHSA Dialog, 2004This study examined the relationship between free-play choices and fine-motor skill in 4-year-old children attending Head Start. Children with poor fine-motor skill were matched for age and gender with children in the same classroom that exhibited good fine-motor skill.

Effects of Transcendental Meditation on Fine Motor Skill
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 197646 college female volunteers were given 66 10-sec. trials on the pursuit rotor task in 3 practice sessions (18, 30, and 18 trials/session). After the first 18 trials, the 23 subjects who were practiced Transcendental Meditators meditated for a 20-min. period followed by a 5-min.
