Finite-Time Convergent Gossiping [PDF]
Gossip algorithms are widely used in modern distributed systems, with applications ranging from sensor networks and peer-to-peer networks to mobile vehicle networks and social networks. A tremendous research effort has been devoted to analyzing and improving the asymptotic rate of convergence for gossip algorithms.

Finite-time amplitudes in Matrix theory [PDF]
We evaluate one-loop finite-time amplitudes for graviton scattering in Matrix theory and compare to the corresponding amplitudes in supergravity. We find agreement for arbitrary time intervals at leading order in distance, providing a functional agreement between supergravity and Matrix theory.

Rotation prevents finite-time breakdown [PDF]
We consider a two-dimensional convection model augmented with the rotational Coriolis forcing, $U_t + U\cdot\nabla_x U = 2k U^\perp$, with a fixed $2k$ being the inverse Rossby number. We ask whether the action of dispersive rotational forcing alone, $U^\perp$, prevents the generic finite time breakdown of the free nonlinear convection.

This paper investigates the adaptive finite-time tracking control problem for a class of nonlinear time-varying delay systems subject to full state constraints and input saturation. The nonlinear state-dependent functions (NSDFs) are introduced to handle

Finite-Time Consensus-Based Clock Synchronization Under Deception Attacks
This paper concentrates on the finite-time clock synchronization problem for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) under deception attacks. Compared with adding additional communication links to a network, we introduce a new mechanism termed as “trusted

This paper presents a composite fuzzy learning finite-time prescribed performance control (PPC) approach for uncertain nonlinear systems with dead-zone inputs. First, a finite-time performance function is constructed by a quartic polynomial. Subsequently,

Adaptive Integral-Sliding-Mode Control for Spacecraft Single-Axis Pointing Using Two Torques
This paper deals with the attitude control problem of a nearly axis-symmetric spacecraft actuated by two torques perpendicular to its symmetry axis. As a result, the spacecraft symmetry axis is unactuated and the rotation about it is uncontrollable.
