Event-triggered learning [PDF]

open access: yesAutomatica, 2020
The efficient exchange of information is an essential aspect of intelligent collective behavior. Event-triggered control and estimation achieve some efficiency by replacing continuous data exchange between agents with intermittent, or event-triggered communication.

Improved Nonfragile Sampled-Data Event-Triggered Control for the Exponential Synchronization of Delayed Complex Dynamical Networks

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The exponential synchronization of complex dynamical networks (CDNs) under improved nonfragile sampled-data event-triggered control (INFSDETC) is investigated in this study.

Event-triggered STED imaging

open access: yesNature Methods, 2022
Abstract Monitoring the proteins and lipids that mediate all cellular processes requires imaging methods with increased spatial and temporal resolution. STED (stimulated emission depletion) nanoscopy enables fast imaging of nanoscale structures in living cells but is limited by photobleaching. Here, we present event-triggered STED, an

Dynamic Event-Triggered Consensus Control for Multi-Agent Systems Using Adaptive Dynamic Programming

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The consensus optimal control problem for a class of linear multi-agent systems with directed communication networks is studied in this paper using adaptive dynamic programming. To overcome the restrictions of the agent’s low processing capability

Distributed output tracking via event-triggered control for nonlinear multi-agent systems

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2022
This paper investigates the problem of distributed output tracking for nonlinear multi-agent systems via event-triggered control under a directed graph topology inspired by the advantage that event-triggered control can effectively save resources and the

Event-Triggered Control for Intra/Inter-Layer Synchronization and Quasi-Synchronization in Two-Layer Coupled Networks

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This paper studies the intra/inter-layer synchronization and quasi-synchronization in two-layer coupled networks via event-triggered control, in which different layers have mutually independent topologies.

Parity space‐based optimal event‐triggered fault detection

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2021
The article investigates the problem of parity space‐based optimal fault detection for event‐triggered systems. By introducing a novel parity vector based event‐triggering mechanism, and taking the effects of faults, disturbances and event‐triggered ...

Event-Triggered Kalman Filter and Its Performance Analysis

open access: yesSensors, 2023
In estimation of linear systems, an efficient event-triggered Kalman filter algorithm is proposed. Based on the hypothesis test of Gaussian distribution, the significance of the event-triggered threshold is given.

Event-triggered cooperative control [PDF]

open access: yes2009 European Control Conference (ECC), 2009
Future multi-agent systems will include embedded microprocessors with limited resources to gather information and actuate the individual agent controller updates. In this paper we examine the stability of such scheme in a cooperative control problem where the actuation updates are event-driven, depending on the ratio of a certain measurement error with

Chaos and Order in Event-Triggered Control

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2023
Event-triggered control (ETC) is claimed to provide enormous reductions in sampling frequency when compared to periodic sampling, but little is formally known about its generated traffic. This work shows that ETC can exhibit very complex, even chaotic traffic, especially when the triggering condition is aggressive in reducing communications.
