Ultrafast Dynamics of Spin Current and Electron Temperature in Spintronic Terahertz Emitters

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work quantifies optical‐pump‐induced THz transmission variations to reveal electron and lattice temperature dynamics and presents time‐resolved THz spectral maps for sub‐picosecond analysis. A 63 ± 8 fs time lag between THz emission and laser excitation is identified, serving as an intrinsic parameter limiting the upper frequency of spintronic THz

On Finite-Time Convergence of Actor-Critic Algorithm

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory, 2021
Actor-critic algorithm and their extensions have made great achievements in real-world decision-making problems. In contrast to its empirical success, the theoretical understanding of the actor-critic seems unsatisfactory. Most existing results only show the asymptotic convergence, which is developed mainly based on approximating the dynamic system of ...

Overparameterized model parameter recovering with finite‐time convergence

International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, 2022
SummaryIn this article, we consider the online parameter estimation problem for overparameterized linear regression models. Many estimation methods require at least the interval excitation condition, which is not always fulfilled for such models, especially in normal operation.

Memory-Augmented System Identification With Finite-Time Convergence

IEEE Control Systems Letters, 2021
This letter presents a memory-augmented system identifier with finite-time convergence for continuous-time uncertain nonlinear systems. A memory of events with significant effect on the performance of the identifier is formed, and reuse of historic data is leveraged in the identifier’s update law to guarantee that the identifier’s error converges to ...
