A new definition of homogeneity for descriptor systems is introduced. The homogeneity property can be verified algebraically, and, as for systems described by ordinary differential equations only, it implies scalability of solutions.

Optimal Stabilization using Lyapunov Measures [PDF]
Numerical solutions for the optimal feedback stabilization of discrete time dynamical systems is the focus of this paper. Set-theoretic notion of almost everywhere stability introduced by the Lyapunov measure, weaker than conventional Lyapunov function ...

Finite Time Inverse Optimal Stabilization for Stochastic Nonlinear Systems
This paper deals with finite time inverse optimal stabilization for stochastic nonlinear systems. A concept of the stochastic finite time control Lyapunov function (SFT-CLF) is presented, and a control law for finite time stabilization for the closed ...

Observer-Based Finite-Time H∞ Control of Singular Markovian Jump Systems
This paper addresses the problem of finite-time H∞ control via observer-based state feedback for a family of singular Markovian jump systems (SMJSs) with time-varying norm-bounded disturbance.

Convergence to suitable weak solutions for a finite element approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations with numerical subgrid scale modeling [PDF]
In this work we prove that weak solutions constructed by a variational multiscale method are suitable in the sense of Scheffer. In order to prove this result, we consider a subgrid model that enforces orthogonality between subgrid and finite element ...

Finite-Time Stabilization of Memristive Cohen-Grossberg Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delay
In this paper, the finite-time stabilization problem for memristive Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with time-varying delay is discussed. By using the novel fixed point theory of set-valued maps, we establish the existence theorem of equilibrium point ...

Finite-time attitude stabilization of an output-constrained rigid spacecraft
This article concentrates on the study of finite-time attitude stabilization for a rigid spacecraft with output constraints. The dynamics of the spacecraft are expressed by modified Rodrigues parameters, so that the singularity of covariance matrix owing

Finite-time stabilization under state constraints
The problem of finite-time stabilization of linear systems under state and control input constraints in the presence of external disturbances is addressed. The proposed control is designed such that the closed-loop system is 1) superstable, when system trajectories risk to violate the state constraints, and 2) homogeneous with a negative degree ...

Finite-Time Stability and Stabilization of Itô-Type Stochastic Singular Systems
This paper is concerned with the finite-time stability and stabilization problems for linear Itô stochastic singular systems. The condition of existence and uniqueness of solution to such class of systems are first given.

Finite-time stabilization for fractional-order inertial neural networks with time varying delays
This paper deals with the finite-time stabilization of fractional-order inertial neural network with varying time-delays (FOINNs). Firstly, by correctly selected variable substitution, the system is transformed into a first-order fractional differential ...
