Finite time stability of differential inclusions [PDF]

open access: yesIMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information, 2005
In this paper, the problem of finite time stability is investigated for differential inclusion. Two sufficient conditions for finite time stability, using a smooth Lyapunov function and a nonsmooth one, are established. Then, the same idea is used to give two necessary conditions.

Finite-Time Stability and Stabilization of Impulsive Stochastic Delayed Neural Networks With Rous and Rons

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper mainly tends to investigate finite-time stability and stabilization of impulsive stochastic delayed neural networks with randomly occurring uncertainties (ROUs) and randomly occurring nonlinearities (RONs).

Space-time discontinuous Galerkin finite element method with dynamic grid motion for inviscid compressible flows. Part I. General formulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A new space-time discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the solution of the Euler equations of gas dynamics in time-dependent flow domains is presented. The discontinuous Galerkin discretization results in an efficient element-wise conservative

Implicit-explicit Runge–Kutta schemes and finite elements with symmetric stabilization for advection-diffusion equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We analyze a two-stage implicit-explicit Runge–Kutta scheme for time discretization of advection-diffusion equations. Space discretization uses continuous, piecewise affine finite elements with interelement gradient jump penalty; discontinuous Galerkin ...

Neural Network Based Finite-Time Stabilization for Discrete-Time Markov Jump Nonlinear Systems with Time Delays

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper deals with the finite-time stabilization problem for discrete-time Markov jump nonlinear systems with time delays and norm-bounded exogenous disturbance.

Robust and Resilient Finite-Time Control of a Class of Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we address the finite-time state-feedback stabilization of a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems with conic type nonlinearities, bounded feedback control gain perturbations, and additive disturbances.

Compositional finite-time stability analysis of nonlinear systems [PDF]

open access: yes2014 American Control Conference, 2014
This paper, investigates finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness for nonlinear systems with polynomial vector fields. Finite-time stability requires the states of the system to remain a given bounded set in a finite-time interval and finite-time boundedness considers the same problem for the system but with bounded disturbance.

Stochastic Finite-Time Output Feedback Stabilization of Feedforward Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The finite-time stabilization for stochastic high-order nonlinear systems is considered in this paper using output feedback. The power orders in the system nonlinearities are relaxed to be rational number greater than one.

Finite-time stabilization of switched nonlinear singular systems with asynchronous switching

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2021
This paper is concerned with the finite-time stabilization of a class of switched nonlinear singular systems under asynchronous control. Asynchronism here refers to the delays in switching between the controller and the subsystem.
