Integration of predictive and computational intelligent techniques: A hybrid optimization mechanism for PMSM dynamics reinforcement

open access: yesAIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering
This paper presents an integrated approach combining a sequential neural network (SNN) with model predictive control (MPC) to enhance the performance of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). We address the challenges of traditional control methods

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Approximation of the Sections of the Set of Trajectories of the Control System Described by a Nonlinear Volterra Integral Equation

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2015
Approximation of the sections of the set of trajectories of the control system described by a nonlinear Volterra integral equation is studied. The admissible control functions are chosen from the closed ball of the space Lp, p > 1, with radius µ and ...

Effect of time delay on feedback control of a flashing ratchet

open access: yes, 2007
It was recently shown that the use of feedback control can improve the performance of a flashing ratchet. We investigate the effect of a time delay in the implementation of feedback control in a closed-loop collective flashing ratchet, using Langevin ...

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Sufficient Conditions Used in Admittance Selection for Planar Force-guided Assembly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Admittance control approaches show significant promise in providing reliable force-guided assembly. An important issue in the development of these approaches is the specification of an appropriate admittance control law.

Dual‐Mode Film Based on Highly Scattering Nanofibers and Upcycled Chips‐Bags for Year‐Round Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent radiative cooling devices, adaptable to various weather conditions, have the potential for year‐round energy savings. This study introduces a sustainable dual‐mode film made from polycaprolactone nanofibers and upcycled chip bags for effective thermal management.

Universal Simulation of Hamiltonians Using a Finite Set of Control Operations

open access: yes, 2001
Any quantum system with a non-trivial Hamiltonian is able to simulate any other Hamiltonian evolution provided that a sufficiently large group of unitary control operations is available.
