A novel approach for optimal design of digital FIR filter using grasshopper optimization algorithm.

ISA transactions, 2020
The idea behind designing digital filters is to compute the optimal filter coefficients such that the magnitude response of the designed matches the ideal frequency response using optimization algorithms.

Harmonic Phasor Estimation With Flat-Top FIR Filter

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020
The IEEE Std C37.118.1(a) describes synchrophasor measurement by a phasor measurement unit (PMU) for the system fundamental frequency. Harmonic synchrophasor, i.e., synchrophasor measured for harmonic frequencies, is not considered in the standard ...

FIR-Filter

Proceedings of the International Conference on Underwater Networks & Systems, 2019
Underwater communication of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) has intense demands on acoustic modems caused by the continually changing signal propagation due to ambient noise, multipath propagation, and other effects of the underwater acoustic channel.

An Optimistic Design of 16-Tap FIR Filter with Radix-4 Booth Multiplier Using Improved Booth Recoding Algorithm

, 2020
The digital Finite Impulse Response (FIR) is extensively used in numerous Signal Processing applications, ranging from wireless communication to video and image processing. The digital filter fundamentally consists of adder, multiplier and delay element.

RETRACTED: Fir filter design using floating point radix 4 algorithm

The International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 2019
Digital filters are generally used to vary or modify the features of a signal in time or frequency domain. The most commonly used digital filter is FIR filter.

FIR filter-based continuous interpolation of G01 commands with bounded axial and tangential kinematics in industrial five-axis machine tools

, 2020
This article proposes a kinematic method to continuously interpolate G01 commands in industrial five-axis machine tools. Finite impulse response (FIR) filters are adopted to generate the time-optimal and jerk-limited trajectory of linear segments.

Maximally flat FIR filters

1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
A new Bernstein approximant for minimax filters is suggested. Explicit solutions for maximally flat and monotonic filters are obtained as a special case of the new Bernstein approximant for all linear-phase finite impulse response (FIR) filter types. A design technique starting from arbitrary specifications is described.
