Developing a universal tunnel span classification from global tunnel databases

A universal tunnel span classification system is introduced that incorporates tunnel span, cross‐sectional area, typical tunnel types, and intended uses. Representative flatness ratio values are also provided for each span class. The classification is derived from a comprehensive database of 450 tunnel profiles from 47 countries.

Bioavailability through lactic fermentation in millet for combating hidden hunger

Millets are nutrient‐rich grains with considerable potential to combat hidden hunger, but the presence of anti‐nutritional factors, can restrict mineral bioavailability. Processing strategies including soaking, germination, cooking, and lactic acid fermentation can reduce the anti‐nutritional factors.

Targeting eIF5A combats breast cancer progression by ClpP‐dependent mitochondrial oxidative stress

This study identified the eIF5A‐ClpP axis as a key driver of breast cancer progression. Targeting eIF5A suppresses tumor growth by inducing ClpP‐dependent mitochondrial oxidative stress, revealing a novel therapeutic vulnerability. Mitochondria‐targeted nanomedicine for cancer therapy: Targeting strategies, therapeutic mechanisms, and translational challenges

This review highlights recent advances in mitochondria‐targeted nanomedicine for cancer therapy. It summarizes key targeting strategies and delineates four principal therapeutic mechanisms: oxidative stress–induced mitochondrial dysfunction, disruption of energy metabolism, direct mitochondrial damage, and induction of immunogenic cell death.
