In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Extension of eigenfunction-expansion solutions of a fokker-planck equation--I. First order system [PDF]
The work is concerned with eigenfunction-expansion solutions to the forward Fokker-Planck equation associated with a specific, non-linear, first-order system subject to white noise excitation.

Phenomenological Material Model for First-Order Electrocaloric Material
Caloric cooling systems are potentially more efficient than systems based on vapour compression. Electrocaloric cooling systems use a phase transformation from the paraelectric to the ferroelectric state by applying or removing an electric field to pump ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Hyers-Ulam Stability of a System of First Order Linear Recurrences with Constant Coefficients
We study the Hyers-Ulam stability in a Banach space X of the system of first order linear difference equations of the form xn+1=Axn+dn for n∈N0 (nonnegative integers), where A is a given r×r matrix with real or complex coefficients, respectively, and ...

Scattering and inverse scattering for first order systems [PDF]
[For Part I, see Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 37, 39-90 (1984; Zbl 0514.34021).] New and known results on the direct and inverse scattering problems for first-order systems and the associated nonlinear equations are surveyed. Included are a new method for the direct problem, a functional calculus for nonlinear evolutions, a Darboux transform for general ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A first order system of differential equations for covariant Ï models [PDF]
A first order system of differential equations is obtained for a covariant σ model defined on a Riemannian (or pseudo‐Riemannian) manifold of arbitrary dimension n. In the case of compact groups, i.e., SO(n), the first order system coincides with the one
