Feeding regimen modulates zebrafish behavior [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2018
Here we show that the feeding regimen modulates zebrafish (Danio rerio) behavior. With regard to the time elapsed between feeding and behavioral evaluation, fish fed 3 h before behavioral evaluation in the novel tank test (NTT) showed decreased activity ...

Assessments at multiple levels of biological organization allow for an integrative determination of physiological tolerances to turbidity in an endangered fish species. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Turbidity can influence trophic levels by altering species composition and can potentially affect fish feeding strategies and predator-prey interactions.

Developmental changes in foraging-predator avoidance trade-offs in larval lumpfish Cyclopterus lumpus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The 5-12 wk old larvae increased time spent clinging to a surface in the presence of a predator, trading-off time available for foraging in order to reduce the probability of attack.

MTAFFB: a multi-task active learning framework for analyzing fish school feeding behavior

open access: yesSmart Agricultural Technology
In aquaculture, analyzing fish feeding behavior is a key focus in both academia and industry. Fish feeding behavior involves not only the fish themselves but also the bait they ingest.

Diet and Dietary Habits of The Mystus gulio from The Cianjur Estuaries, Indonesia

open access: yesJurnal Biodjati, 2023
Food and feeding habits are important things in bioecological of fish. This study provides an understanding of the feeding habits and intensity of the M. gulio, by analyzing its food composition, relative gut length (RGL) and gastro-somatic index (GaSI).

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Physiological responses to hypothermal stress of Tra catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) subjected to different feeding rates

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2023
One of the most vulnerable impacts of climate on aquaculture is abnormally low temperature. The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of different feeding rates on physiological responses of Tra catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) exposed to ...
