Self‐Adhesive Conductive Elastomers for Gel‐Free Biopotential Recording

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
σPOMaC, a self‐adhesive conductive citrate elastomer incorporating PEDOT:PSS and DBSA, enables gel‐free biopotential electrodes with stable conductivity and intrinsic skin adhesion. The composite exhibits low resistivity (∼ 0.02 Ω·cm), robust electrical performance during repeated use, and reliable on‐body ECG acquisition comparable to Ag/AgCl ...

Comparative analysis of 18S rRNA genes from Myxobolus aeglefini Auerbach, 1906 isolated from cod (Gadus morhua), Plaice (Pleuronectes platessa) and dab (Limanda limanda), using PCR-RFLP

open access: yes, 2002
The myxosporean parasite Myxobolus aeglefini is a marine species, which can be found in the cartilage of mainly gadid fish species. The parasite has, however, been recorded in the flatfish plaice (Pleuronectes platessa) and dab (Limanda limanda).

Identification of Parasites in Freshwater Fish

open access: yes, 2023
The purpose of this research project is to provide an identification guide for future researchers to be able to identify parasites in fishes. It can be hard to identify these parasites because they aren’t easy to find so, a guide will be more helpful to ...

Decoding Gas Evolution Pathways and Interfacial Chemistry in Layered Oxide Cathodes for Safer Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Gas evolution behaviors of sodium layered oxide cathodes with varying compositions, cutoff voltages, dopants, and particle sizes/morphologies have been systematically investigated by online electrochemical mass spectrometry. The fundamental outgassing mechanisms of sodium‐based cathodes compared to lithium‐based cathodes have been elucidated.

Engineering Na‐Rich P2‐Type Layered Oxides Through Li/Ti Dual Doping for Oxygen Redox Activation and Superior Structural Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

Degradation Pathways of Silicon‐Based Anodes in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon‐based anodes undergo degradation through five primary pathways: (1) mechanical and structural deterioration of the active material, (2) loss of electrode integrity and electrical contact, (3) mechanical instability of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), characterized by repetitive fracture and deformation, (4) chemical instability of the ...

Parasites of the Lessepsian sprinter Fistularia commersonii (Osteichthyes: Fistulariidae): an update after 15 years since its arrival in the Mediterranean Sea

open access: yes, 2015
Fistularia commersonii is a Lessepsian sprinter recorded for the first time in the eastern Mediterranean Sea (Israel) in 2000. Within a few years, this species reached the central Mediterranean (2004, Sicily) and, subsequently, the western Basin (2007 ...

Discovery of a host fish for glochidia of Velesunio angasi (Sowerby, 1867) (Bivalvia : Unionoida : Hyriidae) from the Fortescue River, Pilbara, Western Australia

open access: yes, 2010
Freshwater fishes are the most common hosts of the glochidia (parasitic larvae) of freshwater mussels (Bivalvia: Unionoida: Unionoidea). Velesunio angasi (Sowerby, 1867) (Hyriidae), is the only known hyriid species recorded from the Fortescue River in ...

Global distribution patterns and geographic range of Cymothoa Fabricius, 1793 (Isopoda: Cymothoidae) associated with host fish

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências
Over recent years, fish parasites of the genus Cymothoa Fabricius, 1793, have received increased attention due to both their ecological and their economic importance to aquaculture and fishery.
