CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Examination of CORN‐fermented protein and high protein distillers dried grains to replace fish meal and poultry meal in juvenile rainbow trout diets

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society
The ability of high‐value plant protein concentrates to replace fish meal and other expensive animal proteins in diets for rainbow trout depends on their available nutrient composition, cost and consistency.

FORMULATION AND NUTRITION OF BOBA TILAPIA FISH AND SEAWEED AS A GENERATION Z IMMUNE BOOST DRINK

open access: yesRussian Journal of Agricultural and Socio-Economic Sciences, 2023
Boba is a filling or topping for drinks (tea, coffee, milk, fruit juice) sweet (sugar, brown sugar, honey) in the form of balls (bubble) or pearls (pearl) with a chewy and bouncy texture (QQ) and color black.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Technological Attempts to Produce Bastirma From Breast Meat of Spent Laying Hen [PDF]

open access: yesFood Technology Research Journal
This study utilized breast meat from spent laying hens to develop a healthier form of bastirma with reduced sodium and nitrite content. Spent hen meat, known for its tough texture due to high collagen levels, was processed into bastirma by replacing ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Determination of the protein value of novel poultry meal ingredients for rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society
The aim of this study was to assess the digestible protein value of three novel poultry products (Pea/Lentil‐PM, Hen on Hen‐PM, and soybean meal (SBM)‐PM), then a growth trial with a 2 × 5 design was conducted where SBM‐PM was included at five levels: 0,
