Nonlinear Fault Separation for Redundancy Process Variables Based on FNN in MKFDA Subspace

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
Nonlinear faults are difficultly separated for amounts of redundancy process variables in process industry. This paper introduces an improved kernel fisher distinguish analysis method (KFDA).

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

An econometric analysis of the effects of macroeconomic variables on interest rates in Brazil

open access: yesEconomia Aplicada, 1998
This paper examines the importance of liquidity, credit, and Fisher effects on the interest rate in Brazil during the period 1975-1991, for five different segments of the financial market.

Association Between Individualized Education for Kidney Replacement Therapy Modality Selection and Peritoneal Dialysis Initiation: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an established home‐based kidney replacement therapy (KRT), but its uptake remains low in Japan. We evaluated whether individualized education in a dedicated outpatient clinic was associated with the initiation of PD.

Unconventional monetary policy and the (Neo)Fisher effect: has the federal reserve misunderstood monetary policy?

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance
The failure of the Federal Reserve Bank to control inflation within its target range has raised concerns about potential misunderstandings in US monetary policy dynamics.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Quantum parameter estimation with many-body fermionic systems and application to the Hall effect

open access: yesSciPost Physics
We calculate the quantum Fisher information for a generic many-body fermionic system in a pure state depending on a parameter. We discuss the situations where the parameter is imprinted in the basis states, in the state coefficients, or both. In the case

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Interest Rate and Inflation: Is there a Fisher or Neo-Fisher Effect? Evidence from Turkey

open access: yesYönetim Bilimleri Dergisi, 2022
In this study, we empirically analyze the relationship between the interest rate and inflation within the content of the Fisher and Neo-Fisher effect for Turkey. Considering the recent elevated discussion of inflation and interest rate, our paper re-examines this relationship using an extended sample covering recent dates to address these discussions ...
