In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

A Bioeconomic Analysis of the Greenland Shrimp Fishery in the Davis Strait
This paper presents a bioeconomic analysis determining the resource rent and optimum effort of the shrimp (Pandalus borealis) fishery in the Davis Strait, taking into account the discard behaviour of the fleet.

Key features and context-dependence of fishery-induced trophic cascades.
Trophic cascades triggered by fishing have profound implications for marine ecosystems and the socioeconomic systems that depend on them. With the number of reported cases quickly growing, key features and commonalities have emerged.

FORECASTING FRESH WATER AND MARINE FISH PRODUCTION IN MALAYSIA USING ARIMA AND ARFIMA MODELS
Malaysia is surrounded by sea, rivers and lakes which provide natural sources of fish for human consumption. Hence, fish is one source of protein supply to the country and fishery is a sub-sector that contribute to the national gross domestic product ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

A Bioeconomic Analysis of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Lobster Fishery
Several surplus production-based bioeconomic models are applied to the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (NWHI) commercial lobster fishery. The model which best explains the biological dynamics of the fishery is a modification of the Fox model developed by ...

Forecasting models for tuna fishery with aerospatial remote sensing
Abstract Tropical tuna movements can be observed from space. We must deduce them by models based on tuna behaviour. To find high concentrations of tunas, we have to find areas with high density of tuna forage. The knowledge of the surface thermal signature of fertilizing processes of water masses is possible using satellite infrared radiometers. We can
