Applications of Event-by-Event Fission Modeling with FREYA
The recently developed code FREYA (Fission Reaction Event Yield Algorithm) generates large samples of complete fission events, consisting of two receding product nuclei as well as a number of neutrons and photons, all with complete kinematic information.

Improved calculation of the prompt fission neutron spectrum from the spontaneous fission of /sup 252/Cf [PDF]
An improved calculation is presented for the prompt fission neutron spectrum N(E) from the spontaneous fission of /sup 252/Cf. In this calculation the fission-spectrum model of Madland and Nix is used, but with several improvements leading to a ...

Constraining the long-term evolution of the slip rate for a major extensional fault system in the central Aegean, Greece, using thermochronology [PDF]
The brittle/ductile transition is a major rheologic boundary in the crust yet little is known about how or if rates of tectonic processes are influenced by this boundary.

Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

Iterative Synthesis of Pyrene–Coronene Molecular Graphene Nanoribbons
An iterative approach delivers a new family of undoped, cove‐edged graphene nanoribbons with lengths up to 9.1 nm that exhibit both molar absorptivity and fluorescence brightness values on the order of 105 M−1 cm−1 and an intrinsic charge‐carrier mobility of 475 ± 32 cm2 V−1 s−1.
