AGRIEKSTENSIAPenelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan dedak padi sebagai bahan pakan unggas melalui pengembangan sinbiotik yang mengandung bakteri asam laktat (BAL) Pediococcus pentosaceus penghasil enzim fitase. Dedak padi memiliki kandungan fosfor tinggi, namun sebagian besar terikat dalam bentuk asam fitat yang sulit dicerna oleh unggas.
