STUDY ABOUT THE ROAD TRANSPORTATION COSTS AND FISCALITY IN THE ROMANIAN COMPANIES [PDF]
The economic development of the European countries in the second half of the XXth century, and also the increase of commercial international exchanges, generated the transportation development in general, and especially the road transportation.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The link between the optimal size of the firm and the break-even point in neoclassical theory
In conditions of complicated market situation and declining demand indexes of production efficiency lose their relevance as production output falls. For this situation it is suggested to consider the behavior of the company (corporation) within the break-

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Forest road planning considering road and skidding costs (Case study: Kheyrud Forest) [PDF]
Hyrcanian forests are the only forests designated for commercial timber production inIran. Ground-based skidding is the most common timber harvesting system used in these forests, but due to low road density (1-2m/ha), large parts of the forests are ...

A Simple Heuristic Approach for Step Fixed Charge Bulk Transportation Problem [PDF]
The classical transportation problem (CTP) is a particular kind of optimization problem. It involves determining the most cost-effective way to transport a uniform product from several suppliers (sources) to several consumers (destinations).

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Fixed costs matter even when the costs are sunk [PDF]
How firms set prices is key to understanding markets. Standard economics dictates that the fixed costs of a firm should not affect its prices. Nonetheless, it is common practice for firms to raise their prices after a fixed costs increase.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
