Common Fixed Point Approximation for Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mapping in Hyperbolic Space with Application

open access: yesAxioms
This study presents a common fixed-point iteration process that includes two asymptotically nonexpansive self-mappings in a hyperbolic space and their delta convergence. To support our results, we provide an example with a comparison table and sufficient

Convergence of modified S-iteration process for two asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type mappings in CAT(0) spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2016
The purpose of this paper is to study convergence of a newly defined modified S-iteration process to a common fixed point of two asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type mappings in the setting of CAT(0) space. We give a suffcient condition for convergence

Chebyshev Inertial Iteration for Accelerating Fixed-Point Iterations

open access: yes, 2020
A novel method which is called the Chebyshev inertial iteration for accelerating the convergence speed of fixed-point iterations is presented. The Chebyshev inertial iteration can be regarded as a valiant of the successive over relaxation or Krasnosel'ski\v -Mann iteration utilizing the inverse of roots of a Chebyshev polynomial as iteration dependent

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Stability of tripled fixed point iteration procedures for mixed monotone mappings

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2014
Recently, Berinde and Borcut [Berinde, V. and Borcut, M., Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011), 4889-4897] introduced the concept of tripled fixed point and by now, there

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Strong Convergence of Hybrid Algorithm for Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
The hybrid algorithms for constructing fixed points of nonlinear mappings have been studied extensively in recent years. The advantage of this methods is that one can prove strong convergence theorems while the traditional iteration methods just have ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
