Iteration Process for Fixed Point Problems and Zeros of Maximal Monotone Operators

open access: yesSymmetry, 2019
We introduce an iterative algorithm which converges strongly to a common element of fixed point sets of nonexpansive mappings and sets of zeros of maximal monotone mappings.

Fixed point Ishikawa iterations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1992
If \(J\) is the closed unit inverval, with \(T\) a selfmap of \(J\), the Ishikawa iterates of \(T\) are defined by \(u_{n+1}=[(1-\alpha_ n)u_ n+\alpha_ nT[(1-\beta_ n)u_ n+b_ n Tu_ n]]\) with \(u_ 0\in J\) and \(\{\alpha_ n\}\), \(\{\beta_ n\}\) satisfying the three conditions \[ \text{(a)} \quad 0\leq \alpha_ n\leq \beta_ n\leq 1, \qquad \text{(b ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Convergence Analysis of an Accelerated Iteration for Monotone Generalized α-Nonexpansive Mappings with a Partial Order

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2019
In this paper, we introduce a new accelerated iteration for finding a fixed point of monotone generalized α-nonexpansive mapping in an ordered Banach space.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

On AI-iteration process for finding fixed points of enriched contraction and enriched nonexpansive mappings with application to fractional BVPs

open access: yes
In this article, we consider the AI-iteration process for approximating the fixed points of enriched contraction and enriched nonexpansive mappings. Firstly, we prove the strong convergence of the AI-iteration process to the fixed points of enriched ...

Some convergence results for modified SP-iteration scheme in hyperbolic spaces

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we prove some strong and Delta-convergence theorems for a modified SP-iteration scheme for total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in hyperbolic spaces by employing recent technical results of Khan et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2012:

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Common Fixed Point Approximation for Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mapping in Hyperbolic Space with Application

open access: yesAxioms
This study presents a common fixed-point iteration process that includes two asymptotically nonexpansive self-mappings in a hyperbolic space and their delta convergence. To support our results, we provide an example with a comparison table and sufficient
