An EKF-Based Fixed-Point Iterative Filter for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this paper, a fixed-point iterative filter developed from the classical extended Kalman filter (EKF) was proposed for general nonlinear systems. As a nonlinear filter developed from EKF, the state estimate was obtained by applying the Kalman filter to

Random homomorphisms and random derivations in random normed algebras via fixed point method

open access: yes, 2012
Using the fixed point method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the Cauchy additive functional inequality and of the Cauchy-Jensen additive functional inequality in random normed spaces.MSC:47H10, 39B52, 37H10, 60H25, 17B40, 39B72, 47B47, 54E70.

The zinc finger domains of PARP‐1 are selectively and potently inhibited by the Au(I)‐based drugs sodium aurothiomalate and aurothioglucose

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
PARP‐1 is a key enzyme in the DNA damage response, and its inhibition induces cancer cell death via synthetic lethality. Au(I)‐based drugs, such as aurothioglucose and sodium aurothiomalate, block PARP‐1's DNA‐dependent activity by targeting its zinc finger domains.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Control Method for Fixed Point Hovering of Open-shelf Observational ROV

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
Fixed-point hovering capability is one of the important control performances of underwater ROV. During underwater motion, ROV is often affected by waves and currents, which makes the conventional motion control unstable.

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Approximate Fixed Point Theorems in Banach Spaces with Applications in Game Theory [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper some new approximate fixed point theorems for multifunctions in Banach spaces are presented and a method is developed indicating how to use approximate fixed point theorems in proving the existence of approximate Nash equilibria for non ...

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...
