The dynamics of the explosive burning process is highly sensitive to the flame speed model in numerical simulations of type Ia supernovae. Based upon the hypothesis that the effective flame speed is determined by the unresolved turbulent velocity ...

Degradable Polyphosphoester (PPE) gradient copolymers (GCPs) are synthesized via one‐pot copolymerization. We show that GCPs self‐assemble into nanostructures like polymersomes, effectively mimicking the behavior of traditional BCPs. The gradient strength is key, with softer gradients favoring micelles.

[Objective] Compared with conventional gas fuel, hydrogen is more susceptible to explosion. Meanwhile, the existence of obstacles notably stimulates hydrogen combustion and accelerates flame propagation, causing more serious consequences of accidents. To

While there has been some recognition regarding the impact of thermal boundary conditions (adiabatic versus isothermal) on premixed flame propagation mechanisms in micro-channels (hydraulic diameters <10 mm), their impact in macro-channels has often ...

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Numerical Simulation of Hot Jet Detonation with Different Ignition Positions
Ignition position is an important factor affecting flame propagation and deflagration-to-detonation transition (DDT). In this study, 2D reactive Navier−Stokes numerical studies have been performed to investigate the effects of ignition position on ...

Multi-dimensional numerical simulations of type Ia supernova explosions
The major role type Ia supernovae play in many fields of astrophysics and in particular in cosmological distance determinations calls for self-consistent models of these events.

This study presents guanidinium‐ and indole‐functionalized polyphosphoesters as degradable, non‐viral gene delivery vectors. Through precise tuning of charge density and hydrophobicity, these polymers form stable polyplexes with low toxicity. Remarkably, minor structural changes yield up to 200‐fold differences in transfection efficiency, highlighting ...
