Crystallinity, Porosity, and Microstructure of Polyphenylene Sulfide Composite Parts Fabricated by Filament‐Extrusion Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
High‐performance PPS composites for FFF: formulation and characterization linking microstructure and crystallization to adhesion and mechanical properties. ABSTRACT Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) was compounded with recycled carbon fibers (rCF) and thermal black (TB) particles, followed by injection molding (IM) and extrusion of the compounded composites ...

Investigation of the Mechanical, Thermal, and Morphological Properties of ABS Composite Reinforced With Bentonite and DEHPA‐Modified Bentonite

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1505-1517, 15 March 2025.
Mechanical and thermal properties of ABS/Bentonite/DEHPA composites. ABSTRACT This study investigates the mechanical, thermal, and surface characteristics of acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS) composites reinforced with bentonite and bis(2‐ethylhexyl) phosphate (DEHPA)‐modified bentonite.

Nitroxide‐Mediated Polymerization Synthesis of Geminal Bisphosphonate‐Functionalized (Co)polymers and Their Affinity to Hydroxyapatite Surface

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
A novel styrenic monomer bearing gem‐bisphosphonate groups is synthesized in a single step. The nitroxide‐mediated (co)polymerization of this monomer proceeds in a well‐controlled manner, yielding bisphosphonate‐functionalized (co)polymers with low dispersity.

Waste Polystyrene Chain Scission With Ball Milling: Mass‐Dependent Kinetics and Energy‐Dose Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Ball‐milling‐induced chain scission of real‐world polystyrene samples exhibits a systematic dependence on polymer mass when particle size is controlled. Scission rate constants follow power‐law scaling, and molecular weight evolution data collapse when analyzed by mechanical energy dose.
