POLYMERS, 1973 高分子物質の燃焼, とくにその発火と火炎伝ぱの機構についてこれまでの研究を展望し,合わせて問題点を指摘した。内容は,この種の現象が不均一系の拡散燃焼で,熱と流れと化学反応の組み合わさった複合領域のそれであるとの観点に立って物理的機構を中心に述べているが,これは最近の燃難化の研究が燃焼と分離しているだけでなく,化学に片寄りすぎているということに対する一つの疑問でもある。。その他,現象の全般的なはあくを容易にするためのモデル化と理論構成の方向についても簡単にふれている。
