Flame spread across liquid pools [PDF]
For flame spread over liquid fuel pools, the existing literature suggests three gravitational influences: (1) liquid phase buoyant convection, delaying ignition and assisting flame spread; (2) hydrostatic pressure variation, due to variation in the ...

We assessed lactation productivity in dairy cows when replacing alfalfa hay with barley silage. A 50% replacement increased feed intake, whereas total replacement improved nutrient conversion to milk. Barley silage can effectively replace alfalfa hay, enhancing sustainability and resilience in dairy production amid forage quality constraints and market

Glyoxylic‐Acetal‐Based Gel‐Polymer Electrolytes for Lithium‐Ion Batteries
A safe electrolyte based on tetraethoxyglyoxal (LE) is combined with a methacrylate polymer matrix. The resulting gel‐polymer electrolyte (GPE) exhibits an increased flash point, suitable ionic conductivity, and a stable performance in lithium‐ion battery cells.

FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

Development of fire-resistant wood structural panels [PDF]
Structural panels made with Xylok 210 resin as the binder had a burn-through resistance at least equal to the structural panels made with Kerimid 500. Therefore, because of its comparative ease of handling, Xylok 210 was selected as the resin binder to ...
