Flame structure and flame spread rate over a solid fuel in partially premixed atmospheres

open access: yes
We have investigated the downward flame spread over a thin solid fuel. Hydrogen, methane, or propane, included in the gaseous product of pyrolysis reaction, is added in the ambient air.

Architected Spatially Deterministic Multiscale Phase Segregation in Block Copolymer Composites for Augmented Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiscale phase segregation in block copolymers enables spatially deterministic structuring from molecular to macroscopic scales, decoupling solar scattering and infrared emission for augmented radiative cooling. ABSTRACT Passive radiative cooling, which reflects solar irradiation while emitting heat through the atmospheric window, provides a ...

Atomically Dispersed Fe‐Modified SnS for Sn‐Centered Peroxymonosulfate Activation Toward Acetaminophen Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Atomically dispersed Fe regulates the local electronic environment and surface properties of SnS, while PMS preferentially coordinates to Sn through Sn–O interaction. Fe incorporation further enhances the Sn–OPMS interfacial interaction, facilitating Sn‐centered PMS activation and the generation of SO4•−/•OH for APAP degradation, thereby clarifying the

Excellent Thermoelectric Performance Realized in SnSe Materials via Chemical Bond Tailoring Using GeTe as Molecule Scissors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The GeTe acting as “molecule scissors” can tailor chemical bond, the breaking of Ag‐Se bonds and the formation of Ge‐Se bonds occur in the A‐SnSe matrix, along with the formation of Ag2Se precipitates. This process helps to optimize the thermoelectric properties, and also improves its mechanical properties to a certain extent.

Eco‐Friendly Laser‐Induced Graphene/Perovskite Hybrids for Eco‐Friendly Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable paper‐based photodetector was developed by combining laser‐induced graphene (LIG) with MAPbI3 perovskite. Compared with pure LIG devices, the hybrid photodetector exhibited nearly 10‐fold higher responsivity and 7‐fold greater detectivity while maintaining stable performance after 1000 bending cycles, demonstrating its potential for ...

Orbital and Electrical Dual Function of Polymer Intercalant for Promoting NH4+ Storage in Vanadium Oxide Anode

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
The impact of polyaniline insertion on the atomic orbitals and electronic structure of vanadium oxide anode is systematically investigated for the first time. The electrode exhibits an outstanding capacity and unprecedent long‐term cycling life, owing to the electron transition to the V 3dxy state and the enhanced diffusion kinetics.
