Tax financed government health expenditure and growth with capital deepening externality [PDF]
This paper develops a two-sector endogenous growth model with health capital and examines the impact tax financed health expenditure has on long-run growth.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Slantlet based Polynomial Cancellation Coding OFDM
In this paper a new technique is proposed to improve the performance of OFDM. This technique uses the slantlet transform (SLT) instead of fast Fourier transform (FFT) to reduce the level of interference. This also will remove the need for guard interval

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

Diversity Combining for DS CDMA System in a Rayleigh Fading Channel with Three Spreading Codes
Fading problem is a major impairment of the wireless communication channel. In this paper we considers different diversity techniques to mitigate the fading problem in wireless channel for DS CDMA (Direct sequence Code Division Multiple Access) system ...
