Numerical Study on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop in a Mini-‎Channel with Corrugated Walls‎ [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2021
This study presents the numerical results relative to the development of heat transfer and pressure drop inside a corrugated channel, under constant heat flux conditions applied to the walls; the working fluid is air.

Numerical study on influence of a type of nanoparticles and volume fraction on turbulent heat transfer coefficient and pressure loss inside a tube [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Modeling and Simulation, 2018
Conventional liquids have some limitations regarding the thermal properties. The nanoparticles addition is one of the techniques which can transcend them.

A device for reducing the siltation of the front chamber of the pumping station in irrigation systems [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
It has been determined that the reduction of siltation of the front chamber is necessary because the deposited sediments seriously violate the planned hydraulic structure of the flow when water is sucked up by pumps, as a result of which their efficiency

Is 2D turbulence a conformal turbulence? [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1993
A critical analysis of the conformal approach to the theory of 2d turbulence is delivered. It is shown, in particular, that conformal minimal models cannot give a general turbulent solution, which should provide for constant fluxes of all vorticity integrals of motion.

Turbulent Firms, Turbulent Wages? [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2006
Has greater turbulence among firms fueled rising wage instability in the United States? Earlier research by Gottschalk and Moffitt shows that rising earnings instability was responsible for one-third to one-half of the rise in wage inequality during the 1980s. These growing transitory fluctuations remain largely unexplained. To help fill this gap, this

Towards Ecological Alternatives in Bearing Lubrication

open access: yesLubricants, 2021
Hydrogen is the cleanest fuel available because its combustion product is water. The internal combustion engine can, in principle and without significant modifications, run on hydrogen to produce mechanical energy.

The Effect of Rotation Rate Parameter on Two Circular Cylinders in Steady and Unsteady Regimes at Different Reynolds Numbers

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2023
The effect of rotation rate parameter, cylinder diameter, and the variation of Reynolds number on the circular cylinder was the main object of this 2D numerical study.

Numerical Analysis of Transient Vortex Formation at the Outlet of a Tank Containing Gas-Liquid Phases [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2023
One of the basic phenomena when a liquid leaves a tank is the formation of vortices. This phenomenon can have a significant impact on the liquid mass remaining in the tank and the ingress of air and bubbles into the system.

Holographic Turbulence [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
We construct turbulent black holes in asymptotically AdS_4 spacetime by numerically solving Einstein equations. Both the dual holographic fluid and bulk geometry display signatures of an inverse cascade with the bulk geometry being well approximated by the fluid/gravity gradient expansion.
