Generation of Flat Optical Frequency Comb Using Cascaded Electro-Optic Modulators
Optical frequency combs have been widely used in spectrum analysis, coherent optical communication, and accurate distance measurement. We propose a straightforward method to improve the flatness of optical frequency combs. First, we derived the output of

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Influence of the probing definition on the flatness measurement
The quality control of mechanical parts is generally performed on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The choice of the number of points to be sampled, their distributions and their positions on the surface, as well as the association criterion remains

Let \(f : (X,x) \to (Y,y)\) be a morphism of local schemes and \((Z,x)\) the central fiber. The flatness of \(f\) is a subtle geometric notion and it is difficult to find some flatness criteria which do not require infinitesimal properties. A well-known result of \textit{H. Hironaka} [Ill. J. Math.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Reliable nonlinear control for quadcopter trajectory tracking through differential flatness
This paper addresses the trajectory tracking problem for a quadcopter system under nominal and fault-affected scenarios (in the latter case, due to stuck actuator(s)). Differential flatness is employed for trajectory generation and control design.

Magnetic Levitation Rail Locomotive Vibration on-line Monitoring
In order to achieve underground metro flatness measurement,a maglev subway vibration tester was designed. The sensitivity of the photoelectric displacement sensor was calculated. Oscillator kinetic equation was derived. The equation derived is linear ...

In normal (nontolerant) cells, CD14 is crucial for both LPS uptake and LPS signaling. In LPS‐tolerant cells, in which LPS‐induced TNF‐α and IFN‐β production is suppressed, there is a dramatic increase in surface CD14 expression. The overexpressed CD14 in LPS‐tolerant cells is responsible for the enhanced LPS uptake without inducing pro‐inflammatory ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.
