On the flatness and the projectivity over Hopf subalgebras of Hopf algebras over discrete valuation rings

open access: yes, 2017
We study the flatness and the projectivity of Hopf algebras, defined over a Dedekind ring, over their Hopf subalgebras. We give a criterion for the faithful flatness and use it to show the faithful flatness of an arbitrary flat Hopf algebra upon its ...

Dependence on Reynolds number of high-order moments of velocity derivatives in isotropic turbulence [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
The results of a heuristic model of the fine scale structure of homogeneous turbulence are presented. Predictions are made about the way in which flatness and skewness factors of arbitrary order depend upon the Reynolds number of the ...

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Investigating the Distribution of Flatness Measurements in Battery Manufacturing through Empirical Investigation and Statistical Theory

open access: yesMachines, 2023
The battery is an important part of the new energy electric vehicle, and the control of the flatness of its side plate/bottom plate is the key to quality improvement in mass production.

Flat covers and flat cotorsion modules [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1984
It is not known whether modules over an arbitrary ring have flat covers, however for certain modules over commutative noetherian rings they can be shown to exist. These covers, in turn, have an interesting connection with flat cotorsion modules. A complete description of flat cotorsion modules analogous to that given by Harrison for torsion free ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Bargmann-Fock extension from Singular Hypersurfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We establish sufficient conditions for extension of weighted square integrable holomorphic functions from a possibly singular hypersurface to the ambient affine space.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Evaluation Method and Application of Cold Rolled Strip Flatness Quality Based on Multi-Objective Decision-Making

open access: yesMetals, 2022
Flatness is a vital quality index that determines the dimensional accuracy of the cold-rolled strip. This paper designs a local shape wave extraction algorithm and a fuzzy classification algorithm for overall flatness defect classification based on ...

Solutions to the Quasi-flatness and Quasi-lambda Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Big Bang models of the Universe predict rapid domination by curvature, a paradox known as the flatness problem. Solutions to this problem usually leave the Universe exactly flat for every practical purpose.
