Identification of Flavobacterium algoritolerans sp. nov. and Flavobacterium yafengii sp. nov., two novel members of the genus Flavobacterium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2023
Six psychrotolerant, Gram-stain-negative, aerobic bacterial strains, designated as LB1P51T, LB2P87T, LB2P84, LB3P48, LB3R18 and XS2P67, were isolated from glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau, PR China. The results of 16S rRNA gene analysis confirmed their classification within the genus Flavobacterium

The fish pathogen Flavobacterium columnare represents four distinct species: Flavobacterium columnare, Flavobacterium covae sp. nov., Flavobacterium davisii sp. nov. and Flavobacterium oreochromis sp. nov., and emended description of Flavobacterium columnare

Systematic and Applied Microbiology, 2022
Flavobacterium columnare is the causative agent of columnaris disease in freshwater fish and four discrete genetic groups exist within the species, suggesting that the species designation requires revision. The present study determined the taxonomic status of the four genetic groups of F.

Flavobacterium enshiense sp. nov., isolated from soil, and emended descriptions of the genus Flavobacterium and Flavobacterium cauense, Flavobacterium saliperosum and Flavobacterium suncheonense.

International journal of systematic and evolutionary microbiology, 2013
A Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, yellow-pigmented rod, designated DK69(T), was isolated from soil collected from the waste liquid treatment facility of Bafeng Pharmaceutical Company in the city of Enshi, Hubei Province, China. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences placed strain DK69(T) in the genus Flavobacterium of the family ...

Flavobacterium jumunjinense sp. nov., isolated from a lagoon, and emended descriptions of Flavobacterium cheniae , Flavobacterium dongtanense and Flavobacterium gelidilacus

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2013
A Gram-staining-negative, yellow-pigmented bacterial strain, motile by gliding, designated HME7102T, was isolated from lagoon water in Korea. The phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain HME7102Tformed a distinct lineage within the genusFlavobacterium. Strain HME7102Twas closely related toFlavobacterium cheniaeNJ-26T(94.5 %)

Flavobacterium squillarum sp. nov., isolated from a freshwater shrimp culture pond, and emended descriptions of Flavobacterium haoranii, Flavobacterium cauense, Flavobacterium terrae and Flavobacterium aquatile.

International journal of systematic and evolutionary microbiology, 2013
A bacterial strain, designated CMJ-5(T), was isolated from a freshwater shrimp culture pond in Taiwan and characterized using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. Cells of strain CMJ-5(T) were Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic, non-motile, yellow-pigmented rods surrounded by a thick capsule.
