Neutrino masses and lepton flavour violating phenomena in the MSSM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The most general supersymmetric model with minimal particle content and an additional discrete Ƶ(_3) symmetry, which allows lepton number violating terms, is considered. In this model, we calculate at the level of one-loop the resulting Majorana neutrino

Single‐cell Transcriptome Profiling Reveals Gene Regulatory Networks and Key Genes in the Root Epidermis and Cortical Cells Associated with Early Nodulation in Glycine Max

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics of soybean roots soon after rhizobial inoculation reveals epidermal and cortical cell‐specific programs and gene‐regulatory networks acting in symbiosis establishment. We identify an ethylene‐driven regulatory circuit involving WRKY6.3/6.4 transcription factors targeting select Nod19 genes that promotes infection‐thread ...

Revolutionising Agricultural Sustainability: New ‘Furrow Tillage’ can Mitigate Short‐Term Soil‐to‐Atmosphere CO2 Flux and Promote Soil‐Plant‐Microbe Health

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...

Searches for Flavour Changing Neutral Currents and Lepton Flavour Violation at HERA

open access: yes, 2002
A summary of the recent searches for anomalous single top-quark production and lepton flavour violation in high energy ep collisions is presented. Single top-quark production via an anomalous flavour changing neutral current gamma-u-t coupling would lead to the reaction ep->etX, t->Wb.

How to Discern a Physical Effect from Background Noise: The Discovery of Weak Neutral Currents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper I try to shed some light on how one discerns a physical effect or phenomenon from experimental background ‘noise’. To this end I revisit the discovery of Weak Neutral Currents (WNC), which has been right at the centre of discussion of some ...

Development and Applications of a Magnetism‐Aware General‐Purpose Atomic Cluster Expansion Potential for the Fe‐O‐H Ternary System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hydrogen‐driven iron oxide reduction, water‐iron corrosion, and hydrogen embrittlement of metallic iron share the same Fe‐O‐H chemistry. A general‐purpose Atomic Cluster Expansion potential covers this chemistry across the full concentration range with explicit Ising‐like treatment of magnetism.

Angular analysis of B0 → K*0e+e − decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
An angular analysis of B 0 → K *0 e + e − decays is presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb −1.

First measurement of the CP-violating phase ϕ s d d ¯ $$ {\phi}_s^{d\overline{d}} $$ in B s 0  → (K + π −)(K − π +) decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
A flavour-tagged decay-time-dependent amplitude analysis of B s 0  → (K + π −)(K − π +) decays is presented in the K ± π ∓ mass range from 750 to 1600MeV/c 2. The analysis uses pp collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies

Implication of Higgs mediated Flavour Changing Neutral Currents with Minimal Flavour Violation

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2015
We analise phenomenological implications of two Higgs doublet models with Higgs flavour changing neutral currents suppressed in the quark sector by small entries of the Cabibbo-Kokayashi-Maskawa matrix. This suppression occurs in a natural way since it is the result of a symmetry applied to the Lagrangian.
