A Multidimensional Engineering Strategy Reprograms Microglia via Targeted and Sustained‐Release Extracellular Vesicles for Spinal Cord Injury Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional EV‐based nanoplatform (Ang‐TEVs@Gel) was engineered via preconditioning, surface targeting, and ROS‐responsive hydrogel encapsulation to reprogram microglia. This system restored autophagy via miR‐664a‐3p/PIK3CA axis, cleared myelin debris, resolved neuroinflammation, and promoted axon remyelination, ultimately achieving robust motor ...

Genetic parameters among weight, prolificacy, and wool traits of Columbia, Polypay, Rambouillet, and Targhee sheep [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Genetic parameters for Columbia, Polypay, Rambouillet, and Targhee sheep were estimated using REML with animal models for prolificacy, weight, and wool traits.

Targeting the KAT7/H3K14ac/RAC2 Axis Mediates OXPHOS to Promote Stemness Maintenance and Malignancy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SOX2 upregulates KAT7 in glioma stem cells, where KAT7 deposits H3K14 acetylation at the RAC2 promoter to activate RAC2 transcription. RAC2‐GTP subsequently promotes PAK1/2/3 phosphorylation, increasing tricarboxylic acid cycle flux and mitochondrial respiration to support glioblastoma malignancy.

Genetic parameters for wool traits in Finnsheep lambs

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 2008
Genetic parameters were estimated for wool characteristics of white and coloured Finnsheep. The data consisted of 5 309 lambs from ordinary production flocks, the Finnsheep nucleus flock and a breeding flock.

Targeting the CRYAB/β‐Catenin Axis with an MMP‐9‐Responsive Hydrogel Disrupts CTC Clusters to Suppress Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates that sublethal thermal stress after iRFA upregulates the chaperone CRYAB in residual HCC cells, which stabilizes β‐catenin and drives a dual pathological program, including EMT and N2‐TAN polarization, thereby leading to heterotypic CTC cluster formation. The MMP‐9‐responsive hydrogel (XB@Gel) delivers XAV‐939 and BMS‐

The effects of breed, crossbreeding and other factors on variation in fleece and skin traits

open access: yes, 1980
Breed and crossbreeding significantly affected variation in 10 fleece, follicle density and fibre diameter traits in 12-week-old lambs. The breeds involved were the Scottish Blackface, South Country Cheviot, Welsh Mountain, Lincoln Longwool, Southdown ...

Functional–Taxonomic Scaling Resolves Conflicting Average Genome Size Estimates Across Environmental Gradients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on genome size‐functional breadth theory, we introduce and validate a framework that adjudicates conflicting average genome size (AGS) estimates by testing which estimate yields a gap between scaled functional diversity and scaled taxonomic diversity that is consistent with the expected positive association between genome size and gene functional

Genome-Wide Association Studies Identify Candidate Genes for Coat Color and Mohair Traits in the Iranian Markhoz Goat

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2018
The Markhoz goat provides an opportunity to study the genetics underlying coat color and mohair traits of an Angora type goat using genome-wide association studies (GWAS).

The importance of early environmental effects on Merino fleece traits across two shearings

open access: yes, 2022
The importance of early environmental effects, and their estimates, on yearling and adult fleece traits recorded in 2 flocks managed under Lifetime Ewe Management (LTEM) guidelines were evaluated.

Sex‐ and Time‐Resolved Physiological and Gut Ecosystem Responses to a Food‐Grade Microbiome‐Targeted Intervention in Collegiate Endurance Athletes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In collegiate endurance athletes, a 6‐week randomized CPYE intervention yielded time‐ and sex‐dependent shifts in field‐based cardiorespiratory, metabolic, and redox indices, accompanied by changes in gut multi‐omics profiles. An exploratory extension during intensified training generates hypotheses warranting future validation.
