Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Prediction of manufacturing flexibility by the use of simulation modelling
Flexibility is seen as a desirable attribute of a manufacturing system. Virtually every manufacturing organisation wants it, but find it difficult to define, predict or measure. Most researchers look inwards to try to obtain measures.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

The Manufacturing Flexibility to Switch Products: Valuation and Optimal Strategy [PDF]
This paper applies a dynamic programming methodology to the valuation problem for the flexibility to switch. In our model, flexibility provides an investor with the right, or option, to perform a switch between a less profitable and a more profitable ...

Agility and flexibility: what's the difference? [PDF]
There is growing interest in the concept of “agile organisations” amongst management practitioners and academics. Early publications have been largely practitioner-oriented and have been at pains to claim that this is a new idea, with fundamental ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...
