High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Expression patterns of Passiflora edulis APETALA1/FRUITFULL homologues shed light onto tendril and corona identities

open access: yesEvoDevo, 2017
Background Passiflora (passionflowers) makes an excellent model for studying plant evolutionary development. They are mostly perennial climbers that display axillary tendrils, which are believed to be modifications of the inflorescence.

The AGL6-like gene OsMADS6 regulates floral organ and meristem identities in rice [PDF]

open access: yesCell Research, 2009
Although AGAMOUS-LIKE6 (AGL6) MADS-box genes are ancient with wide distributions in gymnosperms and angiosperms, their functions remain poorly understood. Here, we show the biological role of the AGL6-like gene, OsMADS6, in specifying floral organ and meristem identities in rice (Oryza sativa L.).

In Situ Integrated Titanium Oxide Synaptic Phototransistor Enabling Multimodal Plasticity and Noise‐Robust Selective Attention

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An in situ integrated TiO2/SiOx/Al2O3 synaptic phototransistor couples ultraviolet and electrical stimuli within a scalable, CMOS‐compatible oxide stack. Multimodal plasticity, spike‐timing‐dependent learning, and bee‐inspired associative conditioning are achieved through trap‐mediated temporal dynamics.

Defect‐Engineered ZnO Nanowire Arrays for Flexible Room‐Temperature Hydrogen Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fabrication process of patterned ZnO nucleation sites on a flexible polyimide (PI) substrate. Top/tilted‐view SEM images of ordered ZnO nanoflower arrays confined within patterned circular regions. AFM topography map with height data revealing a disk‐array structure, where the patterned regions (marked by a red dot circle) are elevated by ∼2 µm ...

Optically Active Birefringent Polymer–Lipid Hybrid Microparticles With Dual‐Stimuli Responsiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The present study reports on geometrically tunable, magnetic and NIR‐stimuli‐responsive anisotropic microparticles that exhibit intrinsic birefringence due to their lamellar crystalline architecture, enabling label‐free detection under a polarized light.

SUPERWOMAN1 and DROOPING LEAFgenes control floral organ identity in rice [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopment, 2003
We analyzed recessive mutants of two homeotic genes in rice,SUPERWOMAN1 (SPW1) and DROOPING LEAF (DL). The homeotic mutation spw1 transforms stamens and lodicules into carpels and palea-like organs, respectively. Two spw1 alleles,spw1-1 and spw1-2, show the same floral phenotype and did not affect vegetative development.

Canagliflozin Alleviates Diabetic Glomerular Endothelial Injury via Melibiose in a Microbiota‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.
