Conformational behaviour of poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) in solution - II. Sedimentation coefficients and permeabilities in the semi-dilute region as a function of temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
Sedimentation and flotation coefficients of poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) solutions have been measured as a function of temperature between 60 and 25°. The solvents were toluene and trichloroethane (TCE).

4‐Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol Mitigates Hyperlipidemia‐Associated Depression by Inhibiting Neuroinflammation via the NKIRAS2/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4‐HBA upregulates NKIRAS2 levels, inhibiting the activation of the NF‐κB pathway and subsequently reducing the levels of neuroinflammatory markers. This modulation helps restore normal mood and behavior in hyperlipidemic conditions, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for managing hyperlipidemia‐associated depression.

AN INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF INITIAL BUBBLE DIAMETER ON THE BUBBLE TRAJECTORY IN THE FLOTATION COLUMN CELL USING CFD SIMULATION

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2022
The effect of initial bubble diameter on the bubble motion pattern in a flotation column has been studied by the twophase computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. The two-phase simulations have been done using the volume of a fluid (VOF) model in ANSYS®

Diversity of Pharmaceuticals Enhances Antibiotic Resistance in the Invertebrate Gut via Biofilm‐Mediated Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Hydrometallurgy of the delta sulfide ores, second stage report [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
This report contains results of the Fluidized-Bed Leaching (FBL) initially adapted to improve Leaching-Flotation processing of Delta ores in sulfate solution. The research carried out in the continuous laboratory installation show, however, that the new,

Cuproptosis and Mitophagy Mediated by the THUMPD1/IGF2R‐Dependent Suppression of AKT and Activation of AMPK Signaling Suppress Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
THUMPD1 drives a tumor‐suppressive signaling cascade in lung adenocarcinoma by promoting IGF2R expression. IGF2R associates with PPP2R1A to suppress AKT and activate AMPK, leading to SLC31A1 upregulation and copper accumulation. Elevated copper disrupts mitochondrial metabolism and induces excessive mitophagy, thereby restraining tumor growth and ...
