Polyfunctional CD8+CD226+RUNX2hi effector T cells are diminished in advanced stages of chronic lymphocytic leukemia

CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Aerodynamic heating and drag remain the two foremost factors to consider in the design of a re-entry vehicle. Mitigating the aero-heating effects is paramount for re-entry vehicles decelerating higher up in the atmosphere at hypersonic speeds.

This study investigates the reattachment of flow on a stalled NACA 0025 airfoil with an array of circular synthetic jet actuators. Experimental flow visualizations are used to assess the spanwise control authority of the array and the three-dimensionality of the flow.

TRPM4 contributes to cell death in prostate cancer tumor spheroids, and to extravasation and metastasis in a zebrafish xenograft model system

Transient receptor potential melastatin‐4 (TRPM4) is overexpressed in prostate cancer (PCa). Knockout of TRPM4 resulted in reduced PCa tumor spheroid size and decreased PCa tumor spheroid outgrowth. In addition, lack of TRPM4 increased cell death in PCa tumor spheroids.

Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes

We tested a specific panel of genes representative of luminal, neuroendocrine and stem‐like cells in the blood of prostate cancer patients, showing predictive value from diagnosis to late stages of disease. This approach allows monitoring of treatment responses and outcomes at specific time points in trajectories.
