CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Flux Flow Effects in Annular Josephson Tunnel Junctions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate Josephson flux-flow in annular Josephson tunnel junctions (AJTJs) under the application of magnetic fields generating finite-voltage steps in their current-voltage characteristics.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Effect of Sand Content in Produced Liquid on Separation Performance of Axis-in Inverted Cone Hydrocyclone

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
To study the application of downhole hydrocyclones in sand conditions and obtain the best separation effect, based on the computational fluid dynamics method, the Reynolds stress model is adopted, and the axis-in inverted cone hydrocyclone is taken as ...

Effects of geometric and flow-field variables on inverted-velocity-profile coaxial jet noise [PDF]

open access: yes
Relationships between the noise generation characteristics and the flow field characteristics for inverted-velocity-profile coaxial jets are discussed. Noise measurements were made at four different sideline distances in order to determine the apparent ...

On the multispacecraft determination of periodic surface wave phase speeds and wavelengths [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Observations of surface waves on the magnetopause indicate a wide range of phase velocities and wavelengths. Their multispacecraft analysis allows a more precise determination of wave characteristics than ever before and reveal shortcomings of ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Adaptability Analysis of the LW350 Centrifuge Based on Fluid-Solid Coupling

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
To study the flow field characteristics of the centrifuge and the mechanical characteristics of its key structures, taking the LW350 centrifuge for case study, a model of the centrifuge fluid domain and screw conveyor was established.

Revisiting Mission‐Oriented Cancer Research to tackle the increasing burden of cancer in Europe–a policy perspective

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Translational cancer research and its implementation through competitively selected Comprehensive Cancer Centers across Europe should be the primary policy focus for addressing the increasing cancer burden in Europe and counteract the present main strategy to convert cancer to a chronic disease.
