Coupling Analysis between the Transonic Buffeting Flow and a Heaving Supercritical Airfoil Based on Dynamic Mode Decomposition

open access: yesAerospace
The coupling between a transonic buffeting flow and a supercritical airfoil with harmonic heave motion was studied. A parametric space of the heave frequency and amplitude was investigated using a verified fluid–structural interaction framework.

Shutdown and Restart Characteristics on Water Ring Transfer of Heavy Oil in Horizontal Pipeline

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2022
In order to solve the problem of restart after shutdown of the pipeline due to unstable water ring at the time of using water ring to transfer heavy oil, based on the independently developed simulator of water ring transferring heavy oil shutdown and ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Identification of secondary flow pattern in a heated curved rectangular channel using image processing technique

open access: yes, 2001
This paper introduced a new application of pattern recognition technique to the problem of automatic identification of secondary flow patterns in a heated curve rectangular channels. The proposed algorithm is based on two observations.

Flow Pattern and Oil Holdup Prediction in Vertical Oil–Water Two–Phase Flow Using Pressure Fluctuation Signal [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2017
In this work, the feasibility of flow pattern and oil hold up the prediction for vertical upward oil–water two–phase flow using pressure fluctuation signals was experimentally investigated. Water and diesel fuel were selected as immiscible liquids.

CFD simulation of flow characteristics of shale gas horizontal wells with different inclination

open access: yesYouqicang pingjia yu kaifa, 2023
Accurate characterization of the flow characteristics of shale gas horizontal wells is the key basis for quantitative evaluation of production performance and further guidance of development program optimization design. In order to explore the gas-liquid

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Vertical upward flow patterns in small diameter tubes

open access: yes, 2005
Two-phase flow patterns were studied in vertical small diameter tubes using R134a as the working fluid. The observed flow patterns include bubbly, dispersed bubble, confined bubble, slug, churn, annular and mist flow.

Adiabatic vertical downward air-water flow pattern map: influence of inlet device, flow development length and hysteresis effects

open access: yes
Flow patterns for adiabatic vertical downward air water flow in an 8.8 mm diameter channel have been studied. In particular, the influence of the inlet device, the flow history and the development length on the flow pattern have been investigated and ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
