Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Congestion control mechanisms and the best effort service model [PDF]
In the last few years there has been considerable research toward extending the Internet architecture to provide quality of service guarantees for the emerging real-time multimedia applications. QoS provision is a rather controversial endeavour.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The dynamic interaction of order flows and the CAD/USD exchange rate [PDF]
We explore the relationship between disaggregated order flow, the Canada/U.S. dollar (CAD/USD) market and U.S. macroeconomic announcements. Three types of CAD order flow and the CAD/USD are cointegrated.

Dynamic Flow Rate Control for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries
Abstract The vanadium redox flow battery (VRB) is one of the most promising technologies for large-scale energy storage. The control of the electrolyte flow rate during its operation has significant impacts on the overall efficiency of the storage system. Although flow-rate optimization under constant current conditions has been addressed in previous

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Precise Control of Micropipette Flow Rate for Fluorescence Imaging in In Vivo Micromanipulation
Precise regulation of micropipette outlet flow is critical for fluorescence imaging in vivo micromanipulations. In such procedures, a micropipette with a micro-sized opening is driven by gas pressure to deliver internal solution into the in vivo ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Customer flow, intermediaries, and the discovery of the equilibrium riskfree rate [PDF]
Macro announcements change the equilibrium riskfree rate. We find that treasury prices reflect part of the impact instantaneously, but intermediaries rely on their customer order flow in the 15 minutes after the announcement to discover the full impact ...
