Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

CFD-based investigation of turbulent flow behavior in 90-deg pipe bends
This work investigated the influence of bend curvature on the parameters of turbulent flow through a 90° pipe bend using the numerical CFD method, implemented in ANSYS Fluent. The numerical predictions were validated to be in good agreement with existing

Study on the Influences of the Erosion Wear of Bend Pipe in Testing Surface Process
In order to study the influence laws of the nozzles adjustment and the structural parameters of bend pipe on the erosion wear of bend pipe in the operation of offshore surface process, coupled analysis is carried out on the flow velocity in the bend pipe

Coronary Flow Velocity and Coronary Flow Velocity Reserve in Children with Ventricular Septal Defect
To assess coronary flow characteristics in congenital heart defect with left ventricular (LV) volume overload, we examined 24 children (mean 12.1 +/- 7.1 months) with ventricular septal defect. The pulmonary to systemic flow ratio ranged from 1.1 to 3.0.

Multidimensional Profiling of MRI‐Negative Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Uncovers Distinct Phenotypes
ABSTRACT Objective Although hippocampal sclerosis (TLE‐HS) represents the most frequent cause of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), up to 30% of patients show no lesion on visual MRI inspection (TLE‐MRIneg). These cases pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and are underrepresented in surgical series.

ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...

Flow Velocity Profile of Micro Counter-Current Flows
Flow velocity profiles of micro counter-current flow of aqueous and butylacetate phases in a microchannel having a width of 100 microm were measured by micro particle image velocimetry. In order to analyze the hydrodynamic characteristics of the counter-current flow, we derived a simple analytical model for the velocity profile.
