Aerodynamics of a wing body with different Winglet Cant Angle [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Current aircraft was designed with winglet at the tip. Winglets reduce the drag and improve fuel efficiency and range. The winglets have been in use for nearly 90 years, but it have been remained fixed.

Visualization of Interstitial Pore Fluid Flow

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2022
Pore scale analysis of flow through porous media is of interest because it is essential for understanding internal erosion and piping, among other applications. Past studies have mainly focused on exploring macroscopic flow to infer microscopic phenomena.

Measurement and analysis of water/oil multiphase flow using electrical capacitance tomography sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The paper investigates the capability of using a portable 16-segmented Electrical Capacitance Tomo-graphy (ECT) sensor and a new excitation technique to measure the concentration profile of water/oil multiphase flow.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

VMetaFlow: A Meta-Framework for Integrating Visualizations in Coordinated View Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The analysis and exploration of complex data sets are common problems in many areas, including scientific and business domains. This need has led to substantial development of the data visualization field. In this paper, we present VMetaFlow, a graphical

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

An adaptive LIC based geographic flow field visualization method by means of rotation distance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth, 2023
Geographic visualization is essential for explaining and describing spatiotemporal geographical processes in flow fields. However, due to multi-scale structures and irregular spatial distribution of vortices in complex geographic flow fields, existing ...

Flow visualization using momentum and energy transport tubes and applications to turbulent flow in wind farms

open access: yes, 2012
As a generalization of the mass-flux based classical stream-tube, the concept of momentum and energy transport tubes is discussed as a flow visualization tool.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
