Dimple‐Encoded Reprogrammable Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Local snap‐through of bistable dimples turns flat elastic sheets into reprogrammable origami structures. Interaction‐guided dimple arrays act as angle‐programmable hinge bands, enabling one sheet to morph into distinct polygonal and three‐dimensional configurations while retaining stable shapes for deployable and protective functions.

Multi‐Scale Bionic Structure Constructs Biomass Flame‐Retardant Thermal Insulation Foam Material

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by mussel adhesion and hierarchical brick‐and‐mortar architectures, a cellulose‐based biomimetic foam is constructed by anchoring bentonite nanosheets onto a polydopamine‐decorated cellulose nanofiber network. The resulting foam combines low thermal conductivity with intrinsic flame retardancy and full biodegradability, presenting a ...

A pair of readers of histone H3K4 methylation recruit Polycomb repressive complex 2 to regulate photoperiodic flowering

open access: yesNature Communications
The transition from vegetative growth to reproduction in flowering plants is often timed by seasonal changes in day length (photoperiod). In the long-day (LD) plant Arabidopsis thaliana, the photoperiod pathway induces a daily rhythmic activation of the ...

The AtFLC-AtFT Pathway Is Involved in the Early Flowering Promoted by Loss of AtHO1 Function in Arabidopsis

open access: yesCurrent Issues in Molecular Biology
Although previous studies have indicated that heme oxygenase 1 (HO1/HY1) regulates the flowering time via the photoperiod pathway, the specific mechanism is still elusive.

Extensive Analysis of GmFTL and GmCOL Expression in Northern Soybean Cultivars in Field Conditions.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
The FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT) gene is a highly conserved florigen gene among flowering plants. Soybean genome encodes six homologs of FT, which display flowering activity in Arabidopsis thaliana.

Triple‐Helix Biomolecules Construct Self‐Adaptive Multi‐Phase Interfaces for Dendrites Immunized Zinc Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bio‐derived triple‐helix framework enables adaptive interphase engineering for aqueous Zn metal batteries. Directional Zn2+ migration channels and dynamic transformation into β‐sheet domains construct an optimized solid electrolyte interphase with flexible–rigid synergy, delivering dendrite‐free Zn deposition and exceptional long‐term battery cycling

The sugar transporter SWEET10 acts downstream of FLOWERING LOCUS T during floral transition of Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2020
Background Floral transition initiates reproductive development of plants and occurs in response to environmental and endogenous signals. In Arabidopsis thaliana, this process is accelerated by several environmental cues, including exposure to long days.

On the Role of Preprocessing and Memristor Dynamics in Reservoir Computing for Image Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Reservoir computing (RC) is an emerging recurrent neural network architecture that has attracted growing attention for its low training cost and modest hardware requirements. Memristor‐based circuits are particularly promising for RC, as their intrinsic dynamics can reduce network size and parameter overhead in tasks such as time‐series ...

Atomically Dispersed Mo–S Sites Boost NiFe–Layered Double Hydroxide for Industrial‐Level Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
(Mo–S)1@NiFe–LDH promotes the rapid structural transition to the active oxyhydroxide phase, enabling selective seawater oxidation at industrial‐level current densities. Atomically dispersed Mo–S sites within the LDH lattice efficaciously modulate the structural flexibility to lower the thermodynamic barrier for early‐phase activation.

AI‐Based Immortality: The Ethical Advantage of the Aretai Approach

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The convergence of artificial intelligence, digital identity technologies, and biogerontological ambitions has produced a novel set of philosophical problems that have not yet been adequately addressed within mainstream bioethical discourse. Digital life extension—encompassing AI‐generated avatars, neural data preservation, mind uploading, and
