LATIN strategy for coupled fluid-solid problems in the domain
2001A new computational strategy based on the Large Time INcrement (LATIN) approach is used to solve coupled problems in multiphysics. It is applied to the consolidation of porous saturated soil and then compared with another computational strategy.

A canonical problem for fluid-solid interfacial wave coupling
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 1996The author studies a two-dimensional problem which describes the wave propagation in a system consisting of a semi-infinite rigid strip inserted between two half-spaces, one being solid and the other being liquid. The strip is smoothly bonded to the solid half-space which is characterized by its Lamé constants.

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part H: Journal of Engineering in Medicine, 1998
In this paper, the authors extend their study of wall mechanics given in Part 1 to the overall problem of fluid-solid interactions in arterial flows. Fluid-solid coupling has become a specific topic in computational methods and applied mechanics. In this review, firstly, the effects of elasticity of blood vessels on wave propagation and local flow ...

Simulation of seismic waves in fluid-solid coupled thermoelastic media
GeophysicsABSTRACT This research advances seismic wave propagation analysis by incorporating temperature effects within fluid-solid coupled media. Leveraging the Lord-Shulman theory, we develop propagation equations that apply thermoacoustic and thermoelastic concepts to the intricacies of fluid-solid-thermal coupled media.
