Stable and Fast Fluid–Solid Coupling for Incompressible SPH

Computer Graphics Forum, 2014
AbstractThe solid boundary handling has been a research focus in physically based fluid animation. In this paper, we propose a novel stable and fast particle method to couple predictive–corrective incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics and geometric lattice shape matching (LSM), which animates the visually realistic interaction of fluids and ...

Simulation Analysis of Bidirectional Fluid-Solid Coupling for Hydrodynamic Coupling

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
In this paper, bi-directional fluid-solid coupling numerical analysis method was introduced into the structural design of hydrodynamic coupling, this method was adopted to simulate the impeller strength and analyze the dynamic characteristics of the turbine blades, as well as the influences of turbine blades deformation the inside flow filed of ...

Research on Propeller Modeling and Fluid-Solid Coupling Analysis

Marine Technology Society Journal, 2021
Abstract Taking the AU5-50 propeller as an example, the detailed process of propeller modeling with atlas method and PropCad is compared. By comparing the auxiliary profiles used for modeling, it is pointed out that the blade model established by PropCad has more complete features and is not restricted by the propeller type.

Particle-Based Simulation of Fluid-Solid Coupling

2013
We present an efficient framework for fluid-solid coupling, including both rigid and elastic bodies. Based on a unified particle model, we apply different coupling scheme for fluid-solid and solid-solid coupling respectively. Realistic and versatility are achieved by coupling all the objects adaptively. With the help of GPU accelerating, we gain a real-

Fluid solid coupling in the process of feeding the cylinder

2017 9th International Conference on Modelling, Identification and Control (ICMIC), 2017
Food, pharmaceutical and other industries have many production process of material mixing, the mixture has both the solid material itself and the need for a homogeneous mixing of the gas liquid material with the solid material, the effect of mixing directly affects the consistency of quality and quality of products.

Coupled Fluid/Solid Heat Transfer Computation for Turbine Discs

Volume 3: Heat Transfer; Electric Power; Industrial and Cogeneration, 2001
This paper considers the coupling of a finite element thermal conduction solver with a steady, finite volume fluid flow solver. Two methods were considered for passing boundary conditions between the two codes — transfer of metal temperatures and either convective heat fluxes or heat transfer coefficients and air temperatures.

Coupled fluid–solid interaction under shock wave loading

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2010
AbstractThis paper considers the treatment of fluid–solid interaction problems under shock wave loading, where the solid experiences large bulk Lagrangian displacements. This work addresses the issues associated with using a level set as a generalized interface for fluid–solid coupling where the fluid–solid interface is embedded in an unstructured ...
